Ok, so we're down to the last night before the Alcatraz Swim. All week we have trained hard and have gone through a serious crash course in healthy foods to get here. I feel great and confident that I will be able to finish this challenge. My shoulder pain has gone away now that my body has become used to the one hour swims. I'm very thankful for the invitation to Pathstar and I highly encourage anyone who is interested to apply. This is a challenge, but if your up to it, you'll come out healthier and stronger.

Today was fantastic. We had the opportunity to give back to the South End Rowing Club that has hosted us for our daily swims by making and serving breakfast. As for swimming we are now up to spending an hour out in the water. My shoulders are a little sore now but the pain isn't too bad and it usually goes away as soon as I hit the water. I don't think I've ever eaten as healthy as I have during my time here. I've learned a lot and look forward to taking what I have learned home with me to share.

Today we had a break from the swimming in the bay and cooked breakfast at the South End for one of their swims today. Then we went and did the Kayaking. I have never done that before and it was really exciting. Plus I got to spend time with Tama my fiance" and my dad. Great full for the experience and the opportunity to be out here again. Tomorrow is our out of the cove swim, then we will be preparing our LAST SUPPER!!! Before the swim.....ON MONDAY......

Today was another good day but had a rough day mentally due to the hand full of seals in the cove. Tama and Nancy were there to protect me. Got to. Make buffalo meatloaf for the swimmers tomorrow at south end. It is good to be able to take part in cooking meals. Just need to take it home and share it with my family and friends. Also watched a video about the farmers and the many changes over the years to bring organic. Hopefully This will start its way to our home. We also went to a school today were these kids made fruit salad with us and asked us questions about where we live and why we live that way. They also had some insightful input things. Then of course can't forget yoga. Today ending and now in bed trying to get to sleep. Thanks to everyone for today. Also forgot to mention we were in the water around 58 minutes. Really proud of Tama he has come a long way.

Hello to all of the 2008 Alcatraz swimmers from Nancy H. I wish I was there to cheer you on, but you were in my thoughts this morning - the day of your swim - here in Maryland where I am visiting my family and sharing your story and inspiration. I can't wait to here about the swim and hope that you all write about it on the web site and stay in touch from time to time there as well. Have a great celebration tonight!

I read the article in the SF Chronicle this morning about Pathstar and was very impressed with the program and the participants! What a great way to convey healthy habits. Best of luck with the Alcatraz swim! You should all be very proud of yourselves.
A Fan
